  • FDA Will Delay the Food Traceability Rule by 30 Months

    The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced it will delay the compliance date for the Food Traceability Rule by 30 months. The Rule was due to take effect on Jan. 20, 2026. The FDA will push that date to July 20, 2028, to give food supply chains more time to prepare.

  • Updating CBP Permitted Customs Broker Listing

    Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has made the Permitted Customs Broker Listing available to the public and updates it quarterly. If the customs broker information in the Permitted Customs Broker Listing is not current, the customs broker is responsible for updating their permit record address information displayed in the ACE Secure Data Portal.

  • NCBFAA Submits Comments to CBP to Amend USMCA IFR Drawback Provisions

    The NCBFAA Drawback Committee on March 18 submitted comments to the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office of Trade, Regulations and Rulings regarding the agency’s Interim Final Rule (IFR) to implement the USMCA regulations related to textile and apparel goods, automotive goods, and other agreement provisions that relate to drawback.

  • NCBFAA Supports Customs Trade Facilitation Bill Introduced in Senate

    NCBFAA is pleased to support the Customs Trade Facilitation Act of 2025 which was introduced by Sens. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) and Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) on March 12. The bill incorporates many of the changes suggested by NCBFAA. The trade facilitation bill will be supplemented by a trade enforcement bill also to be introduced by Sen. Cassidy by the end of March. NCBFAA is pleased to see the facilitation bill take precedence in this session of Congress.
