President Trump on Friday, June 27, said he will impose tariffs on Canada within the next seven days, after trade talks with the Canadian government abruptly ended following an announcement by Canada to tax U.S. technology companies, starting July 1.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on Saturday, June 28, deployed an enhancement in the ACE Production environment that will increase the number of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) numbers to 32 allowed per entry summary line.

Editorial changes have been made to all affected IATA Resolutions and Recommended Practices for passenger and cargo claims to reflect the revised liability limits without further Conference action required. IATA Resolutions 600i and 672, and IATA Recommended Practice 1679 have been updated to reflect the same change. The corresponding changes to Resolution 600b took effect on June 28, 2025.
