2026 GAC eBlasts

NCBFAA is excited to announce that Customs and Border Protection's Diane Sabatino, Executive Assistant Commissioner of the Office of Field Operations, and Susan Thomas, Executive Assistant Commissioner of the Office of Trade, will deliver the luncheon keynote on Monday, Sept. 28, at the Government Affairs Conference (GAC) in Washington, D.C. NCBFAA President Karen Damon will moderate this keynote in a fireside chat format.

The 2026 NCBFAA Government Affairs Conference at the JW Marriott in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 27-29 offers an amazing opportunity to member attendees to learn about timely and critical industry changes influenced by Capitol Hill lawmakers, the White House, and federal regulators. However, Regular Member attendees are also strongly encouraged to stay through Wednesday, Sept. 30, to attend the onsite Customs Committee meeting from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. ET and the Regulatory Agencies Committee (RAC) meeting with the PGAs from 1:30-3:30 p.m. ET.

NCBFAA is excited to announce that Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) Chairman Laura DiBella and Commissioner Robert Harvey are scheduled to speak at the Government Affairs Conference (GAC) in Washington, D.C., as the Breakfast Keynote Speakers on Tuesday, Sept. 29. They will be introduced by NCBFAA Transportation Counsel Ashley Craig of Venable LLP. FMC Chairman DiBella and FMC Commissioner Harvey will share their insights on the evolving maritime and transportation landscape, current regulatory priorities, and the FMC’s role in promoting a fair, efficient, and competitive international supply chain.

An important feature of the annual NCBFAA Government Affairs Conference (GAC) is meeting with your elected officials on Capitol Hill to help ensure they understand the implications of any trade-related legislation placed before them. With the multitude of changes occurring in Washington, D.C., the resulting impact on cross-border trade, and consequently our industry, means that NCBFAA Member representation at the GAC is vitally important. To prepare members on how to best approach lawmakers and their staff about important issues to our industry, NCBFAA will host a webinar on Thursday, Aug. 20, from 1-2 p.m. ET.
